The South African Society for Microbiology (SASM) is hosting their 18th Biennial Congress in November 2013. The SASM is a non-profit professional association dedicated to the advancement of microbiological sciences in South Africa. Its members comprise microbiologists employed in universities, institutes, industry and government as well as student and corporate members. The current membership is about 400 and growing. Eligibility to become a full member of the Society is open to any person who holds at least a bachelor's degree or equivalent in microbiology or related field. Students majoring in microbiology are encouraged to sign up as student members.
ABOUT SASM CONFERENCE 2013
The SASM Conference has, over the decades, attracted industrialists from major international Biotechnology companies and leading academics from all over the world and is an excellent way to showcase your organization. The Committee is hopeful that income from Sponsorship, will enable it to offer low registration fees, for deserving research students wishing to attend but who, for various reasons, are unable to do so. In addition, the conference will be held at a world class African venue and attract world leaders in microbiology. In supporting this conference, you will not only be promoting your organization’s image, but making a real contribution to the exposure of South African science and technology.
